Pleasant Aircraft Leasing, part of the Pleasant Travel Service Family

Pleasant Aircraft Leasing (PAL) is one of a number of business enterprises operating under the banner of Pleasant Travel Service, a privately-held company owned by travel pioneers Ed and Lynn Hogan. For nearly 50 years, Pleasant Travel Service and its subsidiaries have played an integral part in shaping the landscape of travel.

From 1959 to 1998, the Hogans operated Pleasant Holidays, the most successful travel company serving visitors to Hawaii. In 1998, after helping over four million people realize their vacation dreams, the Hogans sold Pleasant Holidays to the Automobile Club of Southern California.

Shortly thereafter, the Hogans purchased their first Gulfstream jet and launched Pleasant Aircraft Leasing (PAL), catering to the global, luxury travel needs of elite business people, celebrities, and sports figures. PAL is operating DOT-approved, luxury, private jet charter flights through award-winning Clay Lacy Aviation, one of the largest jet charter and aircraft management companies in the world.

PAL also provides air service from Van Nuys, CA to Maui, Hawaii for POSH Private Jet Holidays; another Hogan-owned business featuring exclusive, upscale vacation packages. The hotel segment offered in the POSH program is coordinated by the Hogan's hotel company, Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts, which manages their Royal Lahaina Resort on Maui and Royal Kona Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii.

In addition, the Hogans are developing the Villas at the Royal Lahaina; low-density, multi-million dollar, private residences on their 27-acre, ocean front property on Maui.

After the sale of Pleasant Holidays in 1998, the Hogans also established the Hogan Family Foundation, with the mission of creating and operating educational, humanitarian, and civic-minded programs to help encourage development of a more productive and contributory society. The Foundation is headquartered in Newbury Park, CA.
